Grant Award

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Mario Alvarez has been awarded the EuroAgeNet Training and Exchange Fund from the European Ageing Network. This fund helps researchers organize small events and short visits to collaborate across Europe and the UK, especially supporting early-career researchers.

Using this support, Dr. Alvarez recently visited our international partner, Dr. Hiren Joshi, at the University of Copenhagen’s Center for Glycomics. He gave a talk titled "Understanding How GAGs Control Biological Systems: What Parts of GAG Structure Define Their Function, and Can We Predict or Control This?" The visit strengthened his collaboration with Dr. Joshi and helped build connections with other researchers in Copenhagen.
