The team assembled for this programme will apply a diverse set of approaches to address the fundamental gaps in knowledge on Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), using an ambitious multidisciplinary approach, integrating analyses at the transcriptional through to the multicellular level. Linking with international centres of excellence in Denmark and the USA, as well as a commercial partner expert in the application of virtual reality to data sharing and interrogation, ensures that the team can work at the forefront of technological advances.  The posts include opportunities for working visits to partner labs, dependent on the applicant’s personal situation and availability for travel.

 

We are aiming to enhance our multi-disciplinary team. We are keen to identify PDRAs with a strong interest in matrix biology, developmental biology or glycobiology and with experience of 3D stem cell culture models and/or with an interest and experience in mass spectrometry (particularly of glycans) and molecular analysis techniques (to be based at the University of Nottingham)We are keen to recruit a diverse team and have facilities available to support staff with physical disabilities to work in laboratory settings as well as a supportive work environment for neurodiverse staff.
